I’ll be honest, the idea for actualiz came from a selfish place.
I love watching movies and I want to see more of them and I want them to be better and better.
I believe that the simpler, and less stressful, it is for filmmakers behind a computer, the more time they can spend executing their creative vision behind a camera.

I promise that actualiz will push the envelop with exciting tools for filmmakers to explore their creativity in new way, without nickel and diming, and that even though we’re an AI company, our people and the people our products are made for, come first.
I believe companies should always innovate and provide top-tier customer service, not scale back features or grift you with surprise fees and annoying price tiers.
You should spend your money on cast, crew, effects and editing, not on a bunch of different tools.
In short, we’re a modern company with cutting edge tools, doing business the old-fashioned way, by treating our clients as people, not as dollar signs.

Concept
After filming a short film, we wanted to become entrenched in the filmmaking process and came up with the idea of breaking down a script with AI.
Development
Development begins on the AI breakdown tool and we decided to use our own model rather than relying on someone else's.
Pivot
By the time we started developing to the time we were close to being done, the landscape had changed pretty dramatically. Not feeling like a breakdown tool would be the best to launch with, we changed direction and came up with the FirstDraft concept. After a successful prototype test, we begin development with a new product roadmap.
Launch
At the end of 2024, we finally launched our beta! Sign ups are now open!
We’re here to empower filmmakers with little, to no, industry contacts or funding.
With a step-by-step process leading them from concept to screen, a skeleton crew of aspiring independent filmmakers will have access to years of storytelling knowledge and insight at their fingertips to guide them through the production process–without massive fees.
At actualiz, we believe no story can become great, nor original, without the essential human element.
We’re not trying to replace writers, but to bolster their talent by providing a limitless catalogue of inspiration and guidance along with the confidence to actualize their dreams.
What's In A Name?
Why no “e?” Why no capitalization? Where did actualiz come from?
Let me explain!
It’s easy to get bogged down in process when starting something new, and get so frustrated that you don’t even start.
I don’t want filmmakers to be defeated in their vision because of stress, or cost, I want them to actualize their art and share it with the world.
So that’s where the name comes from, we’re a company focused on helping filmmakers actualize their dreams into reality.
Why no “e?” Well, when you’re a creative person you’re never finished.
There’s always something new to learn and do, there’s always something to do better. Too many companies get stagnant after time, far more focused on profit margins than on innovating new ideas.
We kept the “e” off our name, not finishing the word, as a reminder that we’ll never be finished with our work, we’ll never be finished being creative, we’ll never be finished innovating.
Any why no capitalization? We just think it looks cooler!
